
Delora Simbajon

During her teens, Delora already begun volunteering to serve in the children’s Sunday school, youth camps and the worship team in her local church in Cebu (Grace Communion International). She had served for a season at Christ For Asia’s street children ministry also in Cebu and in cross-cultural mission in Bangkok, Thailand under the covering of World Outreach International. She moved to Butuan in late 2007 to work at Living Springs/Simply Mobilizing International where she was involved in resource development, shaping and facilitating training courses and presently, in communications. She began attending and volunteering at TJFM in 2008.
She holds a degree in BS Psychology (major in guidance and counseling and industrial psychology) from the University of San Carlos and a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certificate from Asia’s Center of TESOL. She has also gone through several training courses (including church and cross-cultural ministry) and is working towards finishing a master’s degree.
Delora, a former associate editor of SunStar Publishing in Cebu, also enjoys writing and blogging. She also writes both English and Cebuano poetry which have been published in national magazines and anthologies. She received a Homelife Magazine national poetry award for one of her English poems in 1998. She also enjoys serving as a trainer and resource speaker in different groups and organizations, drawing from her ministry and work experience and from her Psychology background and training as a Life Coach.
She is blissfully married to Daryl Simbajon, a fellow Boholano, whom she met at TJFM.
